An opening date has been confirmed for a brand-new pet accessories business due to open in Longton.

So Very Dog will open in Longton Exchange Shopping Centre on Saturday 12 August.

Sarah Taylor, owner of online dog accessories business, Sew Very Pretty, won Longton Exchange's 'Win a Shop' competition in May, which offered a local business a rent-free retail shop for 12 months.

Over 100 nominations were received for the award and Sew Very Pretty was chosen because of its handmade crafting skills and its commitment to the local community.

All of Sew Very Pretty's products will be handmade and sold at the new shop (Nub News).

Sarah told Stoke Nub News: "I decided to start a second business for the shop, So Very Dog, which will be stocking all of Sew Very Pretty's products but other pet essentials as well like shampoos, grooming brushes and treats.

"We'll also be buying in some accessories to sell so that there's something for everyone.

"I'm feeling really excited, it's been a very busy few weeks with preparations, but hopefully the signs will be going up above the shop soon."
