Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre is set to transform into an open air cinema this summer.
Cinema on the Stones will return for 2026 from Sunday 2 August bringing free family film screenings and activities to the town.
Delivered by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID in partnership with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, the events will make full use of the town's digital screen on the High Street, funded through the Government's Future High Streets Fund as part of the Borough Council's wider investment in the town centre.
The first screening will take place on Sunday 2 August at 12pm showing Disney and Pixar's Inside Out.
The event takes place alongside Castle Pre-Loved, a pre-loved shopping event, offering visitors the chance to browse stalls with clothing, toys and homewares.
Cinema on the Stones will then return on Sunday 16 August as part of the monthly Castle Artisan Market, with a double bill of Disney's The Little Mermaid at 10.30am, followed by Hook at 1pm.
Newcastle-under-Lyme Bid says visitors are encouraged to embrace the theme, with a free fancy dress competition celebrating mermaids and pirates.
Free popcorn and pick 'n' mix will also be available for everyone attending, alongside themed children's activities and people are encouraged to bring along their own picnic blankets or folding chairs.

Charl Pearce, Manager at Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, said:"Outdoor cinema has always proved incredibly popular in Newcastle-under-Lyme, so we're delighted to be bringing Cinema on the Stones back for 2026.
"By programming the screenings alongside existing events such as Castle Pre-Loved and the Castle Artisan Market, we're creating even more reasons for people to spend the day in the town centre.
"Visitors can browse the markets, enjoy something to eat and drink from our fantastic independent businesses, then sit back and enjoy a free family film. It's about bringing everything together to create a day out for visitors while supporting the businesses and existing events."
Cinema on the Stones forms part of Newcastle-under-Lyme BID's summer programme, which also includes the Castle Food & Drink Festival, Get Creative in Castle and Newcastle Jazz & Blues Festival.
