A Newcastle-under-Lyme post office is set to close temporarily for refurbishments.

Milehouse Lane Post Office will close on Sunday 31 May at 2pm before undergoing a two-week refurbishment.

The branch is due to reopen on Monday 15 June at 5am.

Victoria Gill, Post Office Retail Change Lead, said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.

"The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it is necessary for the service to close temporarily."
