Nearly two-thirds of Goods Yard flats now rented out

Nearly two-thirds of the apartments at the Goods Yard in Stoke are now occupied.
Over 115 of the 175 flats at the Goods Yard are now rented out with over 200 people now calling the new development their home.
The developer, Capital&Centric, says the development now looks set to be on track to reach full occupancy by the end of the year.
Tom Wilmot, joint managing director at Capital&Centric, said: "We always knew Goods Yard would be a game-changer for Stoke, but even we've been blown away by the demand.

"To have nearly two-thirds of the apartments already rented, months ahead of where we thought we'd be, is amazing.
"What's even better is seeing the new community forming here – neighbours becoming mates, even couples getting together – it's exactly what we set out to do.
"Goods Yard is about creating a place that brings people together and puts the city firmly back on the map."
The first residents of the £63 million 'Levelling Up' project started to move into the one, two and three-bed apartments from June.
Capital&Centric says the apartments feature exposed concrete finishes, floor-to-ceiling windows and "sustainable Scandi" furniture.
Manchester-based coffee chain Cotton has also opened a café-bar in the foyer area of the apartment block. A sushi restaurant is set to open at the Goods Yard site later this year.

In addition, work is now underway to link the Stoke-on-Trent railway station car park with the garden area of the Goods Yard.
Liz Kenworthy, head of community at Ollo, said: "The response has been incredible. We knew there was an appetite for high-quality homes in Stoke, but we didn't expect demand to be this strong.
"People walk in and are genuinely surprised by the size of the apartments, the finishes, and the social spaces like the gym and cinema.
"It's creating such a buzz and we're really proud to be building a community here."
