A model railway exhibition will take place in Stoke-on-Trent this month, all in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance Service.

Organised by John Cox, the exhibition will take place at St Johns CE(A) Primary School, in Trent Vale, on 27 and 28 July.

There will be seven trade stands, approximately 25 railway layouts covering all gauges, club information stands and light refreshments.

John told Nub News: "In July 2010, when I worked at the school as a janitor and caretaker, I organised a Model Rail Exhibition in memory of my late cousin Fred Johnson, who was like myself an avid member of the Model Railway circuit.

The event is all in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance (John Cox).

"Through this event I started raising money for Douglas Macmillan and Midlands Air Ambulance and each year the event has been well attended and I have always had good feedback from the general public.

"This year the event is being held at the school on 27 and 28 July and this year's charity will be Midlands Air Ambulance.

"I am no stranger to the Model Railway hobby, I have been the Exhibition Manager for Alsager Railway Association for the last 15years and we have our annual Train Exhibition at The Legends, Bentley Motors, Crewe, on 10 and 11 November."
