A mobility retailer says a new store is 'opening soon' in Stoke-on-Trent city centre.

Signs for Eden Mobility - which currently has 49 stores across the country - have gone up outside 2 Upper Market Square in Hanley.

The mobility retailer has stated on the webpage for the Stoke-on-Trent location that the store will be "opening soon".

The site was formerly occupied by Greggs, before the bakery chain moved to 6 Market Square.

The Eden Mobility website states: "Life doesn't slow down just because getting around got trickier - and it shouldn't have to.

"A mobility scooter opens up your day again: a trip round the Potteries Shopping Centre, a coffee with friends in Hanley, or a longer run out towards Newcastle-under-Lyme or Longton, all on your terms.

"Our Stoke-on-Trent showroom on Upper Market Street is built around trying before buying.

"Hop on a range of scooters right there in-store, from compact models designed for weaving through busy shops and narrow doorways, to robust road-legal scooters ready for pavements, parks and further afield across the Staffordshire area."
