Stoke Nub News has you covered for the live results of the Meir North by-election, taking place at Fenton Manor tonight (2 May).

Polling stations have been open all day and there are three candidates in the running:

  • Khawar Ali (Conservative)
  • Lauren Davison (Labour)
  • Michelle Swift (Independent)

Polling stations close at 10pm and we will update this article as the results come in.

22.10: Ballot boxes have begun arriving at Fenton Manor

The ballot boxes have begun arriving at Fenton Manor (Nub News).

22.45: The ballot boxes are in and the count is underway.

23:40: The turnout for Meir North has been confirmed as 17.61%

00:10: BREAKING: Lauren Davison is the new councillor for Meir North

Lauren Davison received 469 votes (Lauren Davison).

FINAL RESULTS

  • Lauren Davison (Labour): 469 votes
  • Michelle Swift (Independent): 216 votes
  • Khawar Ali (Conservative): 185 votes
