Staffordshire Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Georgian Constantin or knows of his current location to contact them immediately as he is wanted on suspicion of murder.
Detectives want to speak to Georgian, aged 42, from Stoke-on-Trent, in connection with the death of a 40-year-old woman on Thursday 9 February following a fire at a property on Campbell Road, Stoke at about 3:10pm.
The victim has now been formally identified as Valentina Cozma from Stoke-on-Trent. Specially trained officers are supporting Valentina's family at this difficult time.
Detective Superintendent Nicki Addison said: "Officers from across the force are working hard to trace Georgian. Could you help?
"We are urging anyone who can help us to locate him to get in touch as soon as possible.
"We believe Georgian has travelled to London and also has links to Southampton.
"Members of the public should not approach this man, but if you see him, please contact us immediately on 999."
Police are also asking for help from the public to support the murder investigation.
Were you in Campbell Road between 2pm and 3:30pm on Thursday 9th February, specifically between the junctions of Corporation Street and Boothen Old Road?
Local officers are making house to house enquiries as they are also looking into whether there were any additional sightings or evidence in alleyways or surrounding streets such as Fletcher Road, Flax Street, Gable Street and Keary Street.
Did you see anything suspicious? Do you have any dashcam footage if you have driven along that road or surrounding roads during that time?
Please get in contact with police if you have any information on Georgian's whereabouts, or any information or video footage you might have to support the murder investigation.
You can contact Staffordshire Police via their Major Incident Portal or by calling 101 quoting incident 440 of 9 February.
