A man has been jailed for more than five years after police found an estimated £66,500-worth of cocaine, MDMA and cannabis in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers from the Staffordshire Police major and organised crime team searched a home in Bentilee on Thursday 13 November last year.

Staffordshire Police said they found the drugs and around £2,000 in cash.

Kevin Gordon Hunter, 58, of Bucknall, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine and crack cocaine and possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.

The police said Hunter answered 'no comment' to all questions when he was interviewed in custody but later admitted the offences in court when faced with the evidence against him.

He was jailed for five-years-and-three-months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday 28 July).
