Man charged with nine offences following burglary in Stoke-on-Trent

                    A man has been charged with nine offences following a burglary in Stoke-on-Trent.
Daniel Hodgkinson, 37, from Norton, has been charged with:
- Burglary and theft
 - Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
 - Attempted theft of a motor vehicle
 - Using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third-party insurance
 - Driving a motor vehicle which had been taken without the owner's consent
 - Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
 - Failing to stop after a road accident
 - Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
 - Assault by beating of an emergency worker
 

This comes after police responded to a report of a burglary and the theft of a car in Norton on Wednesday 3 April.
Hodgkinson appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 5 April), where he was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 6 May.
