Man charged with nine offences following burglary in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been charged with nine offences following a burglary in Stoke-on-Trent.

Daniel Hodgkinson, 37, from Norton, has been charged with:

  • Burglary and theft
  • Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
  • Attempted theft of a motor vehicle
  • Using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third-party insurance
  • Driving a motor vehicle which had been taken without the owner's consent
  • Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
  • Failing to stop after a road accident
  • Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
  • Assault by beating of an emergency worker

Hodgkinson is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 6 May (Nub News).

This comes after police responded to a report of a burglary and the theft of a car in Norton on Wednesday 3 April.

Hodgkinson appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 5 April), where he was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 6 May.
