A man has been charged following reports of shoplifting at a supermarket in Stoke-on-Trent.

Neil Holland, 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with theft from a shop, theft from the person of another and two counts of assault with intent to resist arrest.

Police were called to Tesco Express, Tunstall, on Wednesday evening (4 September).

Holland has been bailed ahead of his next appearance at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 4 July 2025.
