M6 delays after lorry leaves motorway

There are delays on the M6 southbound in Staffordshire between J16 and J15.

Early this morning (4 November), a lorry that left the road and went down the nearside verge on the southbound carriageway.

This caused a diesel spill and barrier damage.

Lane one (of three) is closed for recovery.

There are currently delays of 30 minutes and five miles of congestion.
