Local man charged following series of vehicle thefts in Stoke-on-Trent

A 28-year-old man appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday charged with burglary, attempted burglary and fraud (Nub News).
A 28-year-old man appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday charged with burglary, attempted burglary and fraud (Nub News).

A man has been charged following a number of burglaries and attempted burglaries across Stoke-on-Trent.

Ibrar Tariq, 28, from Stoke-on-Trent, appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday (22 November) charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and one count of fraud.

It comes following a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries between 13 September and 26 October in Longton, Hanford, Lightwood and Normacot.

Two Mercedes and a BMW were stolen.

Tariq has been remanded ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 2 January 2024.
