Teenager in 'critical but stable condition' following collision on busy Meir road

A teenager is in a 'critical but stable condition' following a collision in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, last night (6 February)

Police and paramedics were called to Sandon Road at around 6pm yesterday and the road was closed for around two hours.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The pedestrian, a man in his late teens, was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury at the scene. He's in a critical but stable condition at this time.

"The driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and has been helping us with our enquiries."

A teenage boy suffered serious head injuries in the collision (Nub News).

West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
