A legendary punk poet is coming to a Stoke town.

John Cooper Clarke, has a gig in our area later this year.

He doesn't want to be nice, but it is nice that he is coming to our local area.

The Evidently Chickentown and Beasley Street performer will be coming to Newcastle-under-Lyme

The Salfordian will come to the New Vic Theatre on Eturia Road for Wednesday November 22 2023.

Best known in pop culture for writing I Wanna Be Yours, that would later be covered by the Arctic Monkeys, the 74-year-old received a doctorate for his contributions to the arts in 2013.

He'll be joined by special guest Mike Garry.
