The "heartbroken" family of a woman who died in Newcastle-under-Lyme have paid tribute to her, as a Staffordshire Police murder investigation continues.
Donna Ann Reece, 38, died at a house on Clayton Lane yesterday (Monday 12 October).
In a statement, the family of the Newcastle-under-Lyme said: "We are heartbroken to learn of the loss of Donna. We cannot come to terms with this.
"We would like to ask for privacy at this time whilst the investigation is ongoing."
Specialist officers have been supporting Donna's family.
In a statement made earlier today (2.25pm 13 October), Staffordshire Police said that a 47-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, who was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday remains in custody.
The police force has created an online portal where people can leave information, CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage they may have.
