Free parking to be offered across Stoke-on-Trent this Christmas

Christmas is coming early in Stoke-on-Trent - with free parking across all six towns and Meir on the two Saturdays in the run up to the big day.
On Saturday 14 December, visitors to Burslem, Fenton, Longton, Tunstall, Stoke and Meir will benefit from free parking (midnight to midnight) at council-run car parks.
The car parks are:
- Burslem – Chapel Lane, Market Place, St John Square;
- Tunstall – Butterfield Place, Tower Square, Farndale Street, Hunt Street and Woodland St;
- Fenton – City Road (accessed from Baker Street)
- Stoke – Aquinas Street, Hide Street, Kingsway, South Wolfe Street, Spark Street and Vale Street;
- Longton – Longton Exchange, Chancery Lane and Commerce Street;
- Meir – Weston Road.
Then on Saturday 21 December, visitors to Hanley will be able to park for free all day (midnight to midnight) at council-run surface level car parks.
The car parks are:
- Hanley - Charles Street, Hinde Street, Hope Street, Meigh Street, Pall Mall and Huntbach Street car parks and Lichfield Street.
Councillor Amjid Wazir - cabinet member for city pride, enforcement and sustainability at Stoke-on-Trent City Council - said: "Christmas is fast approaching, and with it comes more footfall into our towns and city - and not just for Christmas shopping.
"Plenty of festive events are happening in town centres, and it is a time when people come together to meet up.
"Take the opportunity to support your local high street this Christmas."
