Forensic examination carried out after 'signs of forced entry' found at Stoke-on-Trent shop

A forensic examination has taken place after police found 'signs of forced entry' at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Argos Extra, Baths Road, Longton, at 5.23am on Sunday (26 January) after the intruder alarms were sounded.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers went to the scene and found signs of forced entry inside. None of the suspects were in the area at the time. 

 "It is unclear if anything was taken at this stage.

 "A forensic examination of the scene has been carried out and anyone with any information is asked to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 127 of 26 January, or by using Live Chat on our website. 

 "To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
