Capital&Centric has revealed a first glimpse at what the newest building on the Stoke-on-Trent skyline will look like.

The first façade panels – in a rich terracotta clay colour – have been installed on Goods Yard neighbourhood that will be home to 174 design-led rental apartments.

The striking curved panels span two floors of the building at ground level and are made offsite at a specialist factory in the Midlands from precast concrete.

The façade has been designed specifically for the development with the details aimed at acknowledging the local history (Capital&Centric).

Locals will start to see a big change on site over the coming weeks as they're craned into place and secured piece by piece.

Inspired by the industrial heritage of Stoke-on-Trent, the façade has been designed specifically for the Goods Yard, with the details aimed at acknowledging the proud local history of craftsmanship.

All works are on course to be completed in early 2025.

Councillor Chris Robinson, Cabinet Member for Housing, Regeneration and Planning at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, said: "It's fantastic progress to see the building façade start to go up and the character of the residential building emerge. This finish will be highly distinctive and unique to Stoke-on-Trent as well as in keeping with our city's great heritage.

"This is set to be a stand-out development in Stoke providing quality accommodation that residents can be proud of. This will complement plans for thriving leisure spaces and workspaces as well as providing new jobs; all bringing a real boost to the area."
