Firefighters called out as bus bursts into flames in North Staffordshire

Fire crews tackled a bus fire in North Staffordshire yesterday.
A D&G bus burst into flames on University Avenue at the Keele University campus on Wednesday morning (17 September).
The alarm was raised just before 10am and huge plumes of smoke could be seen billowing from the bus, which was close to the roundabout with University Avenue.
No one was injured by the fire and the cause was deemed to be accidental.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters responded to reports of a bus on fire in Keele just before 10am yesterday (Wednesday 17 September).
"Upon arrival on University Avenue, crews found a bus alight and safely extinguished the flames.
"No one was injured.
"The cause of the fire was accidental."
