A popular festive funfair could return to a Hanley car park this year if plans are approved by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Winter Wonderland has been held in Hanley since 2016, but the event did not go ahead last year as its usual Birch Terrace car park site was awaiting redevelopment.

Now, organisers are again asking for permission to install an ice rink and associated facilities including skate hire ticket sales office, fairground rides, attractions, wooden chalets, gaming arcade, food outlets and licenced bar on the car park.

The festive attraction is due to take place between 24 November and 7 January (Nub News).

According to the Winter Wonderland website, the attraction will run from 24 November to 7 January 2024.

Stoke Nub News has approached Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Winter Wonderland for more information.
