The family of a motorcyclist who died in a recent crash in North Staffordshire have paid tribute to "one of life's truly loveable characters".

Mark Beech, aged 65, from Wolverhampton, died on Sunday (26 April) morning after the motorbike he was travelling on was involved in a crash on Leek Road, Blake Mere.

Paying tribute to Mark, his family said: "It is with broken hearts that we remember Mark Beech, who tragically passed away following a motorcycle collision on 26 April 2026 at approximately 9.30am, aged 65.

"Mark was one of life's truly loveable characters. He had a warmth about him that drew people in, and a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued and entertained. Whether through his humour, his stories, or simply the joy he brought into a room, Mark had a rare gift for lifting the spirits of those around him.

"He was loved by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. To know Mark was to know kindness, laughter and generosity. He was the sort of person who left a lasting impression, not because he tried to, but because his character was impossible to forget.

"Above all, Mark was a devoted and loving husband, a cherished father to his two sons, and a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren. His family meant the world to him, and the love he had for them was clear in everything he did.

"He brought strength, laughter and comfort to those closest to him, and his love will remain with them always.

"Mark loved to be the entertainer. He brought people together, made them laugh, and created moments that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence filled a space, and his absence will be felt deeply by so many.

"Though his passing has left an unimaginable sadness, Mark's spirit will continue to live on through the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created. He will be missed more than words can say, but he will never be forgotten."

Staffordshire Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for anyone with relevant dashcam footage or who may be able to assist the enquiry, to make contact on 101 quoting incident number 217 of 26 April.
