A Stoke-on-Trent waterpark is set to close for 'upgrades' later this month.
Waterworld Leisure Resort has announced that its Stoke-on-Trent aqua park, at Festival Park, will close temporarily at the end of October half-term.
The waterpark, which has over 30 rides and attractions, is expected to reopen in early 2027.
Details of the new upgrades are due to be revealed over the coming months.
Ahead of the closure, the Waterworld will be hosting a 'Last Splash' party, featuring a live DJ, on Sunday 1 November.
Wayne Goodall, managing director of Waterworld Leisure Resort, said: "Our closing party is the perfect chance for visitors to make a last splash with us before we close for a short time to make exciting changes across the Aqua Park.
"At its heart, Waterworld offers families a place to spend time together, escape from everyday life and enjoy that holiday feeling, whatever the weather.
"The upgrades we have planned are set to build on that sense of fun and enhance the way we tell our story, creating a more immersive experience for our guests. We can't wait to reveal more about the upcoming investment soon.
"In the meantime, our Adventure Mini Golf and Adventure Mini Village will remain open, so there's still plenty to enjoy this winter."
Waterworld Aqua Park has a range of rides and attractions including Thunderbolt, the UK's first trap-door drop waterslide, and an outdoor pool open during the summer months.
The Leisure Resort also features Adventure Mini Golf, which has two 18-hole tiki-themed courses, as well as the Adventure Mini Village.
