A care home based in Stoke-on-Trent has been given the green light by the city council for an extension to their premises in Weston Coyney.

Weston House is a privately owned facility and currently has 33 single rooms.

The applicant, Mr Phil McVay, says the extension will form a new entrance as well as extra office space.

The walls of the new extension will match the existing white render walls and white upvc windows.

No objections were received from Highways or Public Protection with regard to air quality, contaminated land or environmental health.

Case officer, Brittany Yates, said in the officer's report: "The proposal is considered to be acceptable in terms of design, amenity and highway safety and would deliver sustainable development".
