Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a bus driver was spat at in Stoke-on-Trent.

At around 7.15pm on Friday 23 February, a woman failed to show the bus driver a valid ticket when boarding a bus on Dividy Road, Bentilee.

This led to a verbal altercation, which then resulted in the bus driver being spat at by the woman.

Police believe the woman also verbally abused the driver and are reviewing CCTV footage.

A spokesperson from Staffordshire Police said: "If you were on the bus at the time or have any information that could help us with our enquiries, please get in touch. You can call us on 101, quoting incident 180 of 25 February, or message us using Live Chat on our website."
