A brand-new dog accessories business opened its first store in Longton Exchange Shopping Centre this morning (12 August).

Sarah Taylor, owner of online dog accessories business, Sew Very Pretty, won Longton Exchange's 'Win a Shop' competition in May, which offered a local business a rent-free retail shop for 12 months.

Sarah set up a second business for the shop, So Very Dog, which stocks all of Sew Very Pretty's products as well as other pet essentials such as 36 different natural treats, shampoos and beds.

The shop sells a range of dog accessories including handmade collars and leads as well as natural treats, shampoos and beds (Nub News).

She told Stoke Nub News: "It's been a hectic week getting the shop ready but we've achieved so much in a small amount of time.

"Thank you for all of the support and messages, especially to the people of Longton - it's such a lovely place and it's great to be here.

"I'd also like to shout out two other fantastic local businesses - Longton Protective Clothing for their fast turn-around time and Harvey's Tyres for helping me out on Monday!"

So Very Dog is open 9am-3pm on weekdays and 10am-2pm on Saturdays (Nub News).

So Very Dog is open 9am-3pm Monday-Friday and 10am-2pm on Saturdays.

There is also a competition running until 31 August where if customers leave a Google review, they will be entered into a draw to win £30 to spend in the shop.
