A Stoke-on-Trent town is set to lose another bank after Lloyds Banking Group announced further closures.

Lloyds Bank is set to close its branch on the Strand in Longton and a banking hub has been recommended for the town.

It comes as Lloyds Banking Group announced that another 95 branches will be closed between May this year and March 2027.

The BBC reported that a spokesperson for Lloyds said: "Customers want the freedom to bank in the way that works for them and we offer more choice and ways to manage money than ever before."

LINK has recommended that a Banking hub with an ATM is installed in the town.

Lloyds Bank in Tunstall is set to close on 9 March and banking hub was recently opened to provide residents with access to essential banking services.
