Arrest made as investigation launched into Royal Stoke car thefts

A man has been arrested after a spate of car thefts from outside the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
A silver Seat Altea was taken from outside the main entrance of the hospital on Tuesday (15 July) at around 10:30am and a white Ford Fiesta was also stolen between 3pm on 15 July and 3am the following day.
Staffordshire Police has confirmed a 28-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and on suspicion of driving without insurance. He was later bailed while police enquiries continue.
Officers located the Seat in Longton and the force is now appealing for information and CCTV footage from the public
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "At around 10.30am on Tuesday (15 July) we were told that a silver Seat Altea had been taken from outside the main entrance of the Royal Stoke Hospital. The vehicle was stolen with the keys.
"Just before 3pm on the same day, officers located the car in Longton and a 28-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and using a vehicle on a road without third party insurance.
"He has been released on bail while our enquiries continue.
"Meanwhile, officers are appealing for information following the theft of another vehicle from the hospital site.
"A white Ford Fiesta was stolen between 7pm on Tuesday (15 July) and around 3am the following day."
