Arrest for murder after man found dead in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Staffordshire Police was called to a flat on Linfield Road, Hanley, at about 9.30pm on Wednesday 12 November following a report made by West Midlands Ambulance Service. 

Paramedics found a man unresponsive at the address and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A 56-year-old man, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. 

He will be questioned in custody as the investigation continues. 

A cordon has been put in place at the flat and officers are carrying out enquiries. 

Staffordshire Police are currently trying to track down the man's family and have urged people not to speculate over the man's identity.
