This October, Swansway Motor Group is joining forces with TyreSafe for Tyre Safety Month 2026, encouraging motorists to 'Act Before You REact' and make tyre safety checks part of their regular driving routine.

The campaign is a reminder that taking a few minutes to check your tyres now could help prevent a much bigger problem later. Whether it's checking your tyre pressure, looking for visible damage or making sure there's enough tread, simple checks can make a real difference to road safety.

Tyres are the only part of your vehicle that's in contact with the road, so making sure they're in good condition is essential, particularly as we head into the colder, wetter months.

Swansway dealerships offer free tyre safety checks, helping motorists make sure their tyres are road ready as winter approaches.

The checks cover the three key areas of tyre safety; Air, Condition and Tread (ACT), giving drivers a simple way to spot potential issues before they become a problem.

Speaking about the campaign, Matt Springhall, Aftersales Director at Swansway Motor Group, said: "It's easy to put tyre checks off until there's a problem, but that's exactly what this year's 'Act Before You REact' campaign is all about. Taking a few minutes to check your tyres before you set off could help you spot an issue before it becomes something more serious.

"We want to make tyre safety as simple and accessible as possible, which is why our dealerships offer free tyre checks. There's no need to wait until something feels wrong, just pop in and let our teams take a look."

With darker evenings approaching, wetter roads and colder temperatures, October is the perfect time for drivers to give their tyres some attention.

Swansway is encouraging motorists to make the ACT check, Air, Condition and Tread, part of their regular vehicle routine, whether they're preparing for a long journey, heading away for the weekend or simply getting ready for winter.

Matt added: "You don't need to be an expert to carry out a basic tyre check and it doesn't have to take long. A few minutes now could give you greater peace of mind every time you get behind the wheel. So this Tyre Safety Month, don't wait for something to go wrong. Act Before You REact."
