Swansway Motor Group has raised over £2,000 for a local charity through this year's Gingerbread Enterprise Challenge.

The £50 Gingerbread Enterprise Challenge has once again proved a huge success for Swansway Motor Group, with three internal teams raising an incredible £2,011.57 for Gingerbread Family Support.

Following six weeks of fundraising, the Swansway Motor Group HR, Marketing and Contact Centre teams went head-to-head to see who could turn their initial £50 investment into the biggest fundraising total.

The Gingerbread Centre is a Stoke-on-Trent based charity that's been supporting homeless families and vulnerable individuals across Staffordshire and Cheshire for over 40 years.

The final results:

  • HR raised an impressive £1,255.87
  • Contact Centre raised £399.50
  • Marketing raised £356.20

Throughout the challenge, teams got stuck into a packed calendar of fundraising fun, hosting plenty of creative money-making ideas from the daring, 'I'm a Director Get Me Out Of Here' challenge to raffles and cake sales.

The funds raised will go directly towards supporting families across Staffordshire and Cheshire who are facing homelessness and crisis, helping them access the vital services they need to rebuild their lives.

Jess Druce, Fundraising Manager at Gingerbread Family Support, said: "We're absolutely thrilled that Swansway entered three teams into this year's £50 Challenge and raised over £2,000 for Gingerbread Family Support.

"The funds raised will go directly to helping families who've reached crisis point, giving them the support they need to get back on their feet.

"Having Swansway not only take part but also sponsor the event makes it even more special, and we're incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to our community."

Emma Goodall, Dealership Marketing Manager at Swansway Motor Group, said: "We're incredibly proud of all our teams for throwing themselves into this year's Gingerbread Enterprise Challenge and raising such an amazing amount for such an important local charity.

"Seeing the creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm across HR, Marketing and our Contact Centre has been brilliant.

"To raise over £2,000 for families in crisis is a fantastic achievement and we couldn't be happier to continue supporting Gingerbread Family Support and the vital work they do in our community."

The Gingerbread Enterprise Challenge continues to be a brilliant way for local businesses to bring teams together, spark creativity and raise much needed funds for important causes.
