National Road Safety Week takes place between, 16 - 22 November 2025 and Swansway are reinforcing their commitment to safer roads by highlighting the vital role of vehicle maintenance and repair in preventing collisions and injuries.

Free tyre safety checks available at Swansway garages to make sure your tyres are road ready before the winter.

Swansway said: "Ensuring your vehicle is road worthy, your tyres and brakes are in good condition and you're driving with care and consideration can make all the difference"

Swansway explained that each year in the UK more than 1,700 people are killed on our roads and another 30,000 suffer serious, life changing injuries.

Mark Trevers, Swansway Accident Repair Centre Manager, said:"We see the aftermath of collisions and vehicle damage, but we also want to be part of preventing the crash in the first place.

"Small things like ensuring your vehicle is road worthy, your tyres and brakes are in good condition and you're driving with care and consideration can make all the difference.

"Duing Road Safety Week, we're reminding everyone, drivers, passengers, pedestrians that we each have a part to play."

Drivers may see familiar roads every day, but the risks remain high, and the impact on families and communities is enormous.

Modern vehicles are increasingly safer thanks to improving technology, but they still need the right care and upkeep.

The national campaign theme for this year's Road Safety Week is: "Safe vehicles, save lives".
