BYD Stoke is hosting a special opening event this weekend - and you're invited.

BYD Stoke on Victoria Road in Fenton opened last month and will be hosting an open day on Saturday 28 June between 12pm-4pm.

The free activities include a surfboard simulator, hook-a-duck, darts and a coconut shy.

As well, there will be free catering provided for all those who are going along with an ice cream van and food by neighbouring business Millys Food Bar.

You are also able to book a test drive in any of BYD's models for Saturday - including the all-new BYD Dolphin Surf which launched on 13 June.

BYD has recently been awarded as the UK's 'Most Loved Brand' voted for by over 200,000 car owners at the 2025 Autotrader Driver's Choice Awards.

Before they became known as a prominent EV manufacturer, BYD were a major player in the electronics market and specialised in the creation of components for mobile and laptop devices - even now, 50% of Apple's iPads are built with BYD components.

And with features such as a 12.8" Electric rotary touchscreen, 360 camera, a voice control system, indirect driver fatigue management and more BYD's six models are packed full of tech.

The newly appointed head of business at the new Stoke-on-Trent dealership, John Buckley, has been with Swansway Motor Group for over 20 years - most recently at Crewe Audi.

The opening of the first BYD and Motor Match branches in Stoke-on-Trent created 14 jobs in the city with a further 13 employees from other Swansway dealerships now relocated to Fenton.
