Position: HGV Technician

Employment Type: Full Time 50 hours, Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays (2 in 4)Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum, dependent on experienceLocation:B78 2BP

Haulmasters transport building materials and equipment for specialist construction projects. They operate a fleet of vehicles specifically designed for the safe transport of construction equipment, building materials and event work, ensuring the correct vehicle is used for each load.

Requirements:

A fully trained HGV trailer fitter / HGV technician to join their existing team in their workshops. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a team player
  • Work effectively to deadlines
  • Use their own initiative
  • Hold a Class 1 or 2 license (preferred)
  • Possess a natural aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair
  • Have thorough knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
  • Be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing

Duties involve:

  • Carrying out inspections, maintenance, and repair work
  • Preparing and presenting vehicles for VOSA tests
  • Conducting 6-weekly inspections and fault repairs
  • Performing preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Replacing gearboxes and clutches
  • Rectifying brake issues (ABS/EBS)
  • Undertaking trailer work
  • Completing all associated paperwork, reporting, and administrative tasks
  • Providing own tools
