Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a HGV Technician to work in their leading facility in Newcastle-under-Lyme. For the successful HGV Technician, our client is offering:

• Up to £36,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with every 3rd-week call-out cover (Call out bonuses included)
• Permanent position

The Role - HGV Technician:

• Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
• Examine heavy vehicles for structural issues or damages
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic issues
• Fix or replace malfunctioning parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Ensure repaired parts and systems operate correctly
• Discuss vehicle issues with clients or operators to understand problems better
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Keep up with the latest technology and techniques in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance

What our client is looking for in a HGV Technician:

• Must hold City & Guilds/apprenticeship or other related qualification. - ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience as a HGV Mechanic - ESSENTIAL
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of vehicles
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Class 1 / 2 driving license - BENEFICIAL
