Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 2 Truck Driver to join our clients logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of palletised goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
  • Unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all operations.

Qualifications

  • Class 2 licence
  • Experience as a delivery driver, preferably doing multidrop
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
