The Opportunity

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University's Faculty of Natural Sciences in the School of Life Sciences.

The successful candidate will work in the School of Life Sciences as part of the Biosciences Technical Team, supporting teaching laboratory activities within the building and associated buildings.

They will workindependently andas part of the technical teamprovidinga range of technical servicesin accordance withestablished procedures and with limited supervision.

Activities include: preparation and set up of laboratory practicals, assisting with the demonstration of practical skills in a teaching/laboratory environment, upkeep and maintenance of scientific equipment, and general laboratory upkeep.

Therole will support research activity includingservice of research laboratories, general equipment support, and whereappropriatespecificresearch support. You will have a minimum of A levelqualifications, including a biological or chemical science based subject or equivalent and relevant experience of working in a laboratory setting.
