The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced individual looking for a challenging and exciting new role. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Technician with a sport and exercise science background to support staff and students across the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
You will play a pivotal role ensuring the faculty's sport and exercise science teaching spaces are safe, equipped and available for the delivery of high-quality teaching, research and widening participation outputs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in physiology and/or biomechanics laboratory environments and the ability to operate and maintain a range of specialist equipment and software (e.g., blood sampling techniques and analysis, breath-by-breath analysers, ECG, electronic ergometers, ultrasound and motion capture). The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing help and support to staff and students, with the ability to build positive working relationships across technical and academic disciplines. A strong understanding of risk assessments and adherence to current health and safety legislation is essential.
