As a Technical Director - Mechanical Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in leading business development and mechanical engineering on transformational programmes for critical infrastructure. You'll also have the chance to contribute to iconic projects across Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical direction and ensure high-quality, safe delivery across multiple projects and programmes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, setting the technical strategy for bids and project proposals.
  • Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring best practice and design quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with UK and international teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Grow and develop mechanical engineering capability within the practice, inspiring innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to clients, recognised nationally or internationally as a leader in your discipline.

What You'll Bring:

  • Chartered or Fellow Mechanical Engineer status.
  • Influential leadership skills with proven multi-disciplinary integration experience.
  • In-depth expertise in mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, screens, chemical dosing plant) and strong knowledge of UK design standards.
  • Recognised subject matter expertise in your technical field.
